About Us
Play Smart started in the Fall of 2015 with founder Zaneta Moravec's desire to create an early learning program that would implement the best practices she had acquired as a preschool teacher and a parent.
To ensure high-quality early childhood education, Play Smart obtained their national accreditation from NAFCC www.nafcc.org in March of 2020.
Zaneta Moravec was awarded the Women Rising Award 2021. This award is presented annually to Women’s Business Development Council clients who show a strong commitment to WBDC and demonstrate success in their business and tenacity in pursuing their goals. https://ctwbdc.org
Meet the Team
Zaneta Moravec
Mrs. Zaneta is the founder and head teacher at Play Smart. She is a dedicated and thoughtful educator, committed to enhancing her skills to better support young learners. Along with holding a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and completing Wilson Language Training (Tier 1), she is currently pursuing Handwriting Certification from the Learning Without Tears Curriculum.
This certification is especially important as it helps her teach young children the basics of handwriting, including the proper way to hold a pencil. Mrs. Zaneta's focus is on making learning enjoyable and effective for Pre-Kindergarten children, ensuring they have a strong foundation at the start of their educational journey.
Nelly Vasquez
Mrs. Nelly is Play Smart's assistant/Spanish teacher, and she has been a part of the team since they opened their door in 2015. Mrs. Nelly loves nature, which is reflected through her never-ending ideas for creative outdoor play.
As a mother of two children, Mrs. Nelly believes that everyone has a voice. “Motherhood helped me to be a more compassionate and understanding teacher. I am kinder and definitely a more patient person. I've learned to be a better listener; everyone deserves to be heard and understood, no matter how young they are. I see each of my little students as someone's child. I treat my students how I’d want someone to treat my child."
